Program History
Space Voyage was created and founded in 1987 by Dr. Palmere and 14 middle school students. The program was piloted during the '87-88 school year and became a commercial education program in 1989. From the beginning of the program, one of the stated intentions was to create a set of activities for students that would help them stay motivated and curious about the world around them, and to maintain a positive attitude about the future. Space Voyage continues to be a program that inspires, motivates and empowers participating students, teachers and parents.
