What is Space Voyage?
     
      Space Voyage School Seminar is a timely and innovative program about space and space exploration that takes place in your school. The program allows each group of students to experience what it would be like to think like an astronaut as they guide space shuttle missions and work together as space crews. Each simulation immerses the students in "thinking like an astronaut," and helps students develop skills in problem solving, communication, teamwork and flight skills. Each program lasts one-half of a school day.  By bringing the program to you, travel time is removed and learning time is optimized.

     The program can take place in your school gym, library or library media center, or two adjacent classrooms. Each program is individualized for your curriculum, special interests, as well as student ability. Space Voyage programs support Colorado State Standards, specifically science standards 4, 5 and 6.

      Activities are hands-on and interactive, inviting students to solve specific problems, practice communication skills and consider new ways of working as a team.
