Why Space Voyage?

      The desire to learn is the basis for a productive and successful life and is critical to the future success of all students. In keeping with this philosophy, Space Voyage encourages educational excellence, stimulates excitement about learning, and makes reading, math, science, and social studies meaningful and relevant to the students. In addition to motivating students, the program renews teachers by integrating Space Voyage into the classroom curriculum and bringing school subject to life, demonstrating new technologies and master teaching technique, and providing ideas for follow up class activities.

      For the students, Space Voyage provides an in-depth, hands-on set of activities, introduces students to career possibilities associated with present and future technologies, and provides insight and understanding of America's space program. The program encourages students to focus on positive concepts and look to the future with optimism and enthusiasm, instills teamwork, problem solving and communication skills; and gives the students an experience they will remember throughout their school years. A specific goal of the program is to help connect the students to a positive future.
