Leadership Guide and Application

Thank you for your interest in being part of the Leadership Group of Space Voyage Academy.  This packet will provide you with an application and important information about being part of the staff. Please read it carefully. We recommend you printing out the pdf version of this document for review.

LEADERSHIP GROUP POSITIONS

Paid Positions include:
*  SVA Certified Instructors
     Level 1 Instructors must have completed Level 4 and completed their Apprenticeship.
     Level 2 through 5 Instructors must have completed Level 5 of the cadet program.
  *  Camp Counselors - high school and college students
 
Positions Part of the SVA  Program include:
  * Junior Instructors
     Junior Instructors must have completed SVA Cadet Level 2  (The fee is 50% to 75% of full cadet fee)
  * Student Instructor Apprentices
     Apprentices must have completed Level 4 of the cadet program and completed an cadet interview
     and parent interview with senior staff. 
     The apprenticeship is mastery based and can take as many weeks as needed to demonstrate
     the knowledge, skill and confidence needed to be a SV Instructor. Apprentice fee are the same as
     those in the cadet program

Unpaid Staff Positions include:
  *  Academy Interns (High School)
  *  Visiting Teachers
  *  Visiting Scientists

You will want to print out a brochure to learn about this summer's program, as well as a Medical Form, Liability Waiver and Program Orientation Guide.  Reading these will help you prepare for a great summer.
