With great happiness, we are announcing dates for Space Voyage Academy - Summer Camp 2012. We'll be offering seven weeks of camp… you can come for one or more weeks. Younger students come for one week, while students in upper levels and returning students often come for two or more weeks. Visit the brochure, testimonials and other areas for information. Then print off a registration and mail it in. We promise to be quick in getting you a confirmation and other important information. If possible, please use E-mail. Last summer, several participants found support from grand parents and extended family members to help fund one or more weeks at camp. WHAT'S NEXT?
After 21 summers of SVA camp and countless encouraging conversations from families and friends, Space Voyage Academy is planning on starting a new Charter School in Colorado.
During our summer, Dr. Palmere formally invited school leaders and school board members from Jeffco to come and see our Sim Center. Dr. Cindy Stevenson, Superintendent of the Jeffco Schools and a District team came to visit. They were interested in what we are doing and made supportive comments. We also invited Jeffco School Board members to come. Some came and all who came were very supportive.

About Space Voyage Academy... Space Voyage Academy is a space and rocket Colorado summer camp... a national day camp for children entering grades K through 12 (ages 5 to 16). While most students come from Colorado we welcome students from all over the US who come while staying with a relative or as part of a family vacation.
Space Voyage offers a unique Astronaut Prep School atmosphere that is fun, intense and polished. The camp is standards based and every student can earn a medal of achievement. The camp offers activities in aviation, aerospace, astronomy and other space tops. The camp has been described by parents as a cross between a good Montessori schools and Disney World. The founder of the camp is Doc Palmere and since 1989 he has worked directly with more than 300,000 students. The camp is unique in that every certified instructor is an expert in space station operations and has extensive training on or simulator programs. As manned space moves to use commercial space to get people safely to low earth orbit and back, Spaced Voyage will work with those companies to find new spaceship simulations. We know that the students who come to Space Voyage Academy, who have a passion for becoming an astronaut, are the future engineers, pilots and scientists that will work in this new space industry. We know this because students who have attended in the 1990's are working in key positions at Lockheed-Martin, the Air Force and other companies. We'll continue to design and perfect new high-fidelity activities that inspire, motivate and empower our student astronauts. camp and more than fifty percent of students return from one summer to the next.
This summer we're offering seven weeks of astronaut camp. You may choose one or more weeks as all programs are offered in all weeks. This is a day camp for kids entering kindergarten through high school (ages 5 to 16) who have an interest in science, space, space flight and being an astronaut. The camp has evolved over time to be one of the best space based camps in the world. Come and join us and experience what it's like to "think like an astronaut." This summer marks our 21st anniversary of Space Voyage Academy.
